Salary:
From £13.59 per hour

25 hours per week (variable shifts between 7am – 11pm)

Location:
Community Enablement Service (based at Spindles Town Square Shopping Centre, OL1 1HD – but with a necessity to be able to travel across the borough of Oldham)

Job Purpose:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Community Enablement Service which supports individuals while promoting their independence and helping to restore/maintain their ability to remain within the community.

As an Enablement Support Worker you will need to possess excellent communication and organisational skills, be able to prioritise your workload and work well within a team.

You will share our values and have a passion for providing the highest quality care and support, respecting individual’s dignity, choice and preferences.

You will need to hold a full driving licence for this role and have access to a vehicle.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • To assist with the monitoring, implementation and evaluation of care plans and enablement programmes.
  •  To complete written records as required with the customer, carer and family following discussions regarding agreed goal planning.
  • To provide flexible, personal and practical support (inclusive of personal care needs) which is respectful of customer’s privacy and dignity and in line with their assessed need.
  • Maintain accurate records, contribute to reviews/assessments and team meetings and liaise with other agencies and professionals such as social workers, nurses and therapists when required.
  • Ensure the appropriate use, maintenance and storage of equipment supplied for the customer’s enablement programme.  As part of the monitoring process alert a senior staff member if change of equipment or equipment repair is required.
