Accessibility Statement

We want everyone who visits our website to be able to access the full range of services available.

How accessible is the site?
We know some parts of this website aren't fully accessible.

What to do if you have problems or queries
If you have any accessibility problems or feedback, please call us on 0161 770 8777.

The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is responsible for enforcing the accessibility regulations. If you're not happy with how we respond, please contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS).

Technical information about this website's accessibility
MioCare Group is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1.

Under the Equality Act 2010 we must ensure we do not unlawfully discriminate in our service delivery and make reasonable adjustments for people with disabilities where necessary. We are constantly working to improve the accessibility and usability of our site.

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 AA standard, due to the non-compliances listed below.

• headings: some headings don't cascade inside some features on some web pages
• link text: some pages contain the same link text going to different pages
• some PDFs/word documents may not be marked up so they're accessible to a screen reader

We intend to resolve these issues as soon as possible.

Disproportionate burden
• Documents that are supplied to us by other organisations will not be edited to make them accessible

Content that's not within the scope of the accessibility regulations
• PDFs / documents: many of our older PDF documents don't meet accessibility standards and may not be marked up so they're accessible to a screen reader. We intend to have a rolling programme to update our PDFs.

How we test the site
We will re-assess this website for accessibility whenever it undergoes a major modification. Page content is checked every time it is updated.

Accessibility
This website has been designed and built to ensure the site is as accessible as possible whilst maintaining a high level of usability.

Text size
Our site has a standard text size of around 18 pixels. Alternatively, you can ask your web browser to consistently display text using a larger or smaller typeface.

Links
All hyperlinks are underlined. Links within the main body of the website are also coloured green for additional accessibility.

Keyboard accessibility
Our site features a 'Skip to Main Content' facility and a tab outline facility. If you hit the tab key when you first load a page, a 'Skip to Main Content' button appears in the top left corner of your browser. Hitting the return key will take you to the main content section so you do not have to tab through the menu.

Alternatively you can also use successive presses of the tab key to navigate between menu items and links. When the item you want is highlighted within the orange outline box, press the return key to navigate to that item.

Accessible Information Standard
The Accessible Information Standard is there to make sure that disabled people who use adult social care services (and their carers) have access to information that they can understand and any communication support they might need.
