We are happy to share the news of another positive inspection – our Reablement Team (comprising of our Community Enablement and Helpline and Response Services) has been rated ‘Good’ overall by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), with a rating of ‘Outstanding’ in the ‘Well-led’ domain...
This is the MioCare Group’s first rating of ‘Outstanding’ from the CQC, the independent regulator of health and social care in England. We’re delighted to receive it and aim to build on this success, delivering brilliant services for all that use them here in Oldham.
The five key inspection areas covered are as follows…
During their visit, inspectors spoke with various people that have received care from us, as well as their relatives. On return of the report, we were very pleased to find service users say of our employees…
"They treat me with respect & kindness."
"They are kind and respectful, there hasn't been anyone who is not."
“Honest to God I can't say a bad word, they're magic!"
When asked if staff protected people's privacy and dignity, inspectors were told…
"Very much so, they do act on what I say."
"They are very kind, treating me with respect and dignity.”
We won’t list it all here but the report details plenty more feedback coming directly from recipients of our care and service. It also goes on to reveal findings of an outstandingly well-led Reablement Team, stating that…
‘The team demonstrated a strong value base promoting care and support that was person-centred, open and inclusive, helping to achieve the best outcomes for people...'
And also that…
‘The management team were passionate about driving improvements across the service with great investment in the training and development of staff to promote continuous learning...’
A thorough inspection and we want to thank CQC for their visit and their report, which you can read in full via their website:
We’re proud to have a team striving to be the best they can be. Congratulations to those staff who make the service what it is and here’s to our continuous improvement!
