You'll have likely heard of Macmillan Cancer Support? A charity working to help people who face an all too common illness...

Well, they have our support too. Service users and staff from across the MioCare Group have been holding events to raise money for Macmillan, as part of their 'World's Biggest Coffee Morning' initiative.

First up, Trinity House...

Those portraits above were brilliantly taken by Andrew, a resident receiving Extra Care at Trinity House. He wanted to take some photos of his fellow tenants enjoying themselves at the occasion. Well done and thanks for sharing Andrew! And congratulations to all those at Trinity House who ran a successful coffee morning.

Next up, Unit 3 at Whitney Court with our Reablement Team...

Led by star bakers Liz and Suzanne, the Reablement Team came together to share coffee and cake. Walnut cake, carrot cake, Victoria sponge and Portuguese tarts all on offer. With treats to take home too, including Liz's homegrown apple sauce. Yum!

And finally to Charles Morris House...

Charles Morris House residents over in Failsworth had been donating items for a tombola all week and had an amazing selection of prizes to go alongside the cakes on offer. Always a laugh in the lounge with Doreen, Sharon, Edna and co'. Edna (bottom right) was particularly keen to have her photo taken - "I'll tell my daughter I'm an internet sensation when I see her later!".

That is an internet sensation's grin if ever we saw one, Edna!

An amazing team effort with people from all over Oldham doing good things. Very proud of our MioCare Group family.
