We are delighted to announce that we have signed up to a voluntary recognition agreement with the UNISON, GMB and Unite trades unions that will cover the entirety of the Group and it’s 450+ employees.

There was already an existing agreement covering Oldham Care and Support Ltd, with this new agreement extending union recognition to MioCare Services Ltd and the parent company MioCare Group CIC (Community Interest Company).

All parties welcomed the move and it reflects our commitment to work with trade unions in providing the best possible employee experience for staff.

MioCare Group’s Managing Director Karl Dean said “We’ve always enjoyed strong, positive relationships with the trade unions and so we welcomed the opportunity to standardise the arrangements across the whole Group. We look forward to working with the UNISON, GMB and Unite to ensure that this is a great place to work.”

Cllr Fida Hussain, Chair of the MioCare Group said “I too look forward to working with our trade unions to continue to make the Group a successful, socially-conscious business. We continue to strive to be an organisation that sets a high standard for the care sector.”

In a joint statement the trade unions offered “UNISON, GMB, Unite and the MioCare Group have worked closely together to develop a strong working relationship. The agreement now covers the whole organisation and allows the unions to recruit, bargain and negotiate on behalf of our members.”
