A blog from Christine, Keith and Zoe - Community Support Workers in our Supported Living Service…

Safe to say that in the last 18 months we’ve all spent plenty of time indoors!

In the Supported Living house in which the three of us provide care and support, colleagues and residents alike have been creative in how we planned our time. We’ve used the garden to its full potential, have been karaoke-ing and have got into arts and crafts in a big way.

Recently though, when a good (and safe) opportunity came up to visit the circus at Alexandra Park, we wanted to grab it. It was the first time in what felt like ages that we’d all been out as a group, and it was so nice to see these mates interact with each other, outside the house...

The circus show was a treat for the senses and we hope the photos go some way to show what an amazing time everyone had on the day. None of us could stop smiling!

Suzon was so happy in his sparkling red hat, Ian B was clapping louder than anyone else in the whole tent and Ian T and George loved singing along to the show’s songs.

Afterwards we walked round the park and saw the ducks, enjoying a drink and ice cream for good measure.

Our residents are just brilliant and it’s great to be able to add some further activities back into their care and support plans once again.
