A couple of weeks ago we announced the result of a recent CQC inspection, in which our Extra Care service was rated 'Good' in all areas.

Well, we’re delighted to announce today that two more of our services have had the same result! 'Good' news for Shared Lives and Supported Living...

The five key inspection areas covered are as follows…

  • Safe
  • Effective
  • Caring
  • Responsive
  • Well-led

During their time in both these services, CQC inspectors met eight people to explore their experience of the care we provide. They also spoke with the family of five service users on the telephone and received feedback via email from another.

On return of the report, we were very pleased to find relatives say…

"I don't have to worry about [Name]. I feel they are safe, well looked after and enabled to enjoy life to the best of their ability."

"I am very happy with the care. The team are really caring."

"I have found the staff consistently prompt in their communication, responsive to [Name's] needs, and above all kind and caring."

"The team know [Name] really well having worked with them years. They know exactly how to care for [Name] best."

Relatives of service users said they knew any concerns raised would be taken seriously...

"I know concerns would be addressed properly, I have spoken to the staff about things in the past and I always get a positive response."

Inspectors also spoke with four Carers, four Support Workers, two Registered Managers, the Director, an Associate Director, an Operations Manager, as well as the lead MioCare Group staff for autism and mental capacity.  Another thorough inspection and we want to thank CQC for their visit and their report, which you can read in full via their website:

We’re proud to have a workforce striving to be the best they can be. Congratulations to those staff who make both the Shared Lives and Supported Living services what they are and here’s to our continuous improvement!
